Winners of the 9th annual BC Health Care Awards were announced today at a gala luncheon in Vancouver. Twelve Gold Apple winners and seven Award of Merit recipients were honoured. February 2 - HEABC members among BC’s Top Employers for 2015
BC’s Top 100 Employers of 2015 were announced January 30, with four HEABC members making the list. Among the winners are Fraser Health, with more than 26,000 employees, 2,500 physicians and 6,500 volunteers; Interior Health, making the list for the third year in a row with19,000 employees and 1,500 physicians; Provincial Health Services Authority with 9,723 full-time employees at diverse sites including BC Cancer Agency, BC Centre for Disease Control and BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre; and Northern Health with more than 7,000 employees in an area covering two-thirds of the province.
Now entering its 11th year, BC's Top Employers is an annual competition organized by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers. This special designation recognizes BC employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work.

Nominations are now open for the 9th annual BC Health Care Awards. The awards celebrate successes and achievements in BC’s health care system and recognize people who provide outstanding care and support. Awards are given in 11 categories for projects that improve health care delivery, and for individuals who make a positive impact and inspire those around them.
